"The staff was so professional! The food was amazing! The swimming pool was so delightful in the evening as the sun set on Fort Jaisalmer. The proprietor has built this beautiful property with his father, the Mayor; it is so beautiful! Close walking distance to the Fort. Everything you will need to support your travel is just outside the main lobby. Guulab Haveli epitomizes the hospitality and kindness of Rajasthan!"

"The room was not cleaned properly and accumulated dust could be seen even on the bedside tables. The bath room wash basin had stains from pan masala. No towels were provided despite reminding the staff. It seems that they did not get them from the laundry. The swimming pool was never used for last one year at least according to someone there. It is dry and littered with pigeon droppings. I had to leave by a midnight train and asked the reception whether I can get a three wheeler. He said he can book one in advance for Rs 300. When I said that it is too much for a 1.6km distance, he immediately reduced it to Rs 200. But I refused and went out to the road and got one for just Rs 100. There is no backup for electricity, even for the wifi. "

"This place is just lovely, the owner is very kind and knowledgable, and they can arrange any tours. I enjoyed the desert safari, and you can ride in the jeep if you don't want to ride the camels. They offer pickup and drop off from the train station, which is amazing. The rooms are large and comfortable, and there is a nice rooftop cafe and lounge, which is great for meeting other travelers. Great location and good wifi. The hot water was hit or miss (but if you're looking at budget hotels in India, you should be prepared for this), but other than that everything was perfect."
