Anniversary weekend
Loved the home. Inside was very clean and comfortable. The only issue I had (and it was my problem not the host) was that I couldn’t figure out how to work the television in the bedroom. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch having a drink.

Snowstorm in Big Bend
We arrived to the property during some unusually cold weather. The host already had the heater going and everything set up. The house had everything we needed and we loved staying here. It gave us some good memories in the snow!

Ok but not great
Cute house on inside but very small bathroom with a very large shower. Rented the house because I wanted to cook for my relatives but had to partially clean the oven as it was filthy and burners on stove did not fit the drip pans so pots and pans were all slanted which made it difficult to cook. My contact person was very nice and would respond quickly to my text to him and apologized for the oven and offered to come clean it, however, i declined as I told him I would take the worst off but it would need to be thoroughly cleaned for the next guest. We did leave a day earlier than planned.

Quaint and cozy.
Well located for all we did in Alpine, Marfa and Ft. Davis. Heating was more than adequate for the small area. Had a little trouble with the TV remote.but nothing major. Beds were comfortable and warm. Could have used more lighting in the kitchen and another shelf in the bathroom. Due to weather, didn't have a chance to use the outdoor area. Very enjoyable stay.

Very clean. Very well stocked. Smelled amazing. Private.
The owner was very responsive. The house was very well stocked with extra linens & towels. Plenty of dishes & cooking gear. The ONLY thing I would have brought had I known would be a stock pot {made spaghetti} & an electric griddle. The back yard at night is amazing in the full moon!!! Will be staying again!!!!!

Close to town. Quiet street, little traffic. Comfortable beds, clean and fairly well stocked.
Once you get use to train whistles and dog barking, it's pretty peaceful.

Location, Location, Location
My husband and I spent a week in this house in Alpine. It is very conveniently located. An easy walk to the downtown. It is also next to the historic district's walking tour. You can get a map at the Visitor's Center. The house was clean and well equipped. It is small so if you have more than 2 people in your group you will be in close quarters.

Hidden Surprise
It was cold outside and as we walked inside the cozy house the heaters were on for us. The house was simply appointed with some antiques and contemporary items. The back yard was private and comfortable with a fire pit and starter log to enjoy the 30 degree weather. The kitchen had everything to make meals and the coffee selection included local Big Bend and pod coffees. The two full size beds had nice linens and we're comfortable. The living room was equipped with comfortable seating for five adults. The large flatscreen TV and cable box were easy to operate. The location was on the south side of the railroad tracks and completely safe. Murphy street was close enough to walk to if you enjoy walking or a two minute drive. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Too cute
This was the best place to stay. It was very clean and everything was there in the unit to use and there was even fresh flowers on the dining room table. The shower was large and clean. there were plenty of towels. We travelled to Marfa, Marathon, Big Bend and Fort Davis as well as Alpine itself. We made use of the fire pit in the back yard. There were plenty of cooking utensils and dishes and the beds were comfy. It was nice to come "home" after traveling and rest in the house. One day we saw a large buck deer in the road in front of the house. Would highly recommend this cute little house.

Wonderful vacation home in Alpine
We really enjoyed our stay in Alpine, and the house was equipped with everything one might need for a weekend getaway. The bed was comfortable, and the home was large enough to maneuver. The only negative thing was the small hot water heater which ran out of water before two people could take showers back to back. I still give the place five stars because it was clean, well furnished, and close to everything in Alpine. The price was reasonable too, so I highly recommend it. We will stay again on our next trip.

Awesome stay
We were there for a very short period of time (we only spent two nights at the place), but we found it very enjoyable, it was all very clean and neat with enough room for the four of us. Both the bed and the sofa were very comfortable for sleeping. They have a small printed guide with FAQs that was pretty useful! And Ryan was very welcoming and helpful. The backyard seems perfect for a nice bbq and we really enjoyed walking down the neighborhood, people were very nice and there were a few nice cafes nearby. Would totally stay there again if we ever go back to Alpine :)

Home away from home
Our stay was just perfect! The location for anything in town was convenient. The home has everything you need to cook a meal, which is a plus in my book! If there was anything I needed or was questionable about, Ryan was there! Thank you again for the awesome three night stay!!
