We arrived in the evening, so didn't quite appreciate how lovely a view there was from around the building, however saw it the next day!
Met by John upon arrival, who explained what I needed to do regarding locks, gates etc, but no strict rules given, which was quite nice - he (quite rightly) trusted our judgement of behaviour with neighbours close by. There was a red folder inside giving all details about the area, bins, appliance etc. which was useful.
The kitchen is soooo well equipped, with tonnes of cooking bits and pieces, and some 'basics' i.e. salt, pepper, coffee, milk in the fridge (nice touch), some herbs/spices. You couldn't ask for much more - it very quickly felt like home, knowing that all the bits you could need were there! tin opener, grater, pots and pans, casserole dishes etc.
The bedrooms were lovely and cosy, as was the living room. All felt warm and inviting.
Close to the Cruin, where we were attending a wedding, so that was great. Also, a very nice walk along the loch front to Cameron House Hotel and then further along to Lomond Shores.
I would definitely come here again, and will recommend it to people wanting a trip up this way.... I wanted to stay longer!!
For a relaxing trip away, it was ideal.
