Great stay, amazing property
Our family really enjoyed our time together at this lovely scenic and cozy place. Very very clean, easy check in and out process and fantastic location. Loved the lake views especially the sunsets from both the house windows and the dock. The only drawback was there were two things we saw in the photos that we assumed were part of the stay - an air hockey table and a pontoon and we probably didn't read the descriptions carefully enough. It did feel like a bit of a let down but we are glad we stayed here and really enjoyed it.

Beautiful Lake View
My family visited the Alexandria area for a family wedding. We enjoyed our stay on Lake Ida. The property was very clean and in very good condition. The beds were extremely comfortable. We loved the Keurig coffee maker. Unfortunately the weather was very windy, cloudy and chilly so we did not get to spend time on the paddle boards or on the dock. The 22Northmen brewery just 5 minutes away was a great place to sample many tasty beers.

Lake Ida Stay
Our family time spent at the Lake Ida Hideaway Cabin was wonderful. The cabin is fully stocked with all items needed for a fun weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent swimming and fishing. The standup paddle boards were a huge hit for those of us who'd not used them before. A (small) large mouth bass and a 21" pike were caught from the dock. Lots of silly stories around the firepit!! Great time at the lake!!

We had a great time at the cabin. 6 adults and 5 kids - nice beds and nice sized bedrooms- plenty of room to spread out. Stayed during a very hot week, and the a/c kept us cool. Kids caught literally hundreds of fish from the dock. Caught some nice bass and crappies by boat even with the heat. Close proximity to Alexandria and Carlos Creek Winery.

Nice stay
Very clean and nice cabin for a big family on Lake Ida. Swimming off the dock was not ideal for little ones, as it was quite unstable. However, there is a public beach not too far from there. We enjoyed hanging out on the large deck. Great location to the wedding venue that brought us into town. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

Family Vacation
We had an excellent time during our stay on Lake Ida. There was 12 of us. Seven adults and 5 kids under 10 years. The sleeping arrangements were adequate, but sleeping in the loft was not quiet or private. The beds were comfortable (if you like a softer bed). When the weather is nice, the deck is a great place to gather. If you have very young children/toddlers beware of the steps leading to the lake; there are railings but no spindles on the sides. Our kids were able to carefully walk, but little ones may not be so cautious. Lake Ida is a beautiful lake! The lake shore at the house is a bit weedy, but has easy access to the dock if you bring a boat. We checked-in late because the owner forgot to send me the information/codes, but she was apologetic and gave us some extra time on our check-out day. Despite a couple hiccups, our family trip was a success and we had a great time!

Overview
AC was not working when we got there 90゚ in the house.Took hours just to get it to 78. Umbrella was very broken and dangerous. Dishwasher leaves a white film on all the dishes. Sheets are extremely cheap And slippery don't stay on bed. 3 to 4 Max to sit around campfire down by the Lake on rocks.Busy road close to house. Not a walking road. The loft has wide railings over looking lower level so would not be safe for young children.
