Greated by a very friendly reception team. From then down hill! Greater for breakfast and lunch struggled to even ask for your room number, made to feel an inconvenience more interested in her phone and talking to colleagues. Evening great great remember our room number after 1 evening and greater with a big smile. Lady at the bar around the pool very welcoming. Hotel full off middle aged men playing golf and when not playing getting wasted on the all inclusive menu, felt at times like you were in the middle of stag parties when they weren’t playing golf. Not really appropriate for families and kids at this point. Hotel is now dated, visited years ago and apart from reception being updated the rooms are not, furniture and rooms are tired and need money spent updating. No tea and coffee facilities in the room, that’s not 5 stars! Sorry certainly not how I remember and won’t be going back! Lots of better hotels to choose from on that coastline trust me!

Very disappointed with this hotel definitely not 5star that’s for sure where do we start not enough bar staff small bars ran out of glasses and not even that busy so can’t get a drink in glass restaurant didn’t have much choice and not enough variety couldn’t even get a bottle of water on all inclusive or dark rum wasn’t aloud on all inclusive never known anything like it staff on bar in and out miserable and most of time 1 serving so having to Que for a while as they don’t hurry rooms were nice and spacious and were cleaned but didn’t even get water in room or have a kettle very poor all inclusive and definitely wouldn’t go back

We absolutely loved our stay at NAU São Rafael Suites in September. Everything — and I mean everything — was PERFECT! We spent peaceful days swimming in the sea, reading books, and enjoying the stunning design of the hotel as well as the natural beauty of Albufeira and the Marina. Our suite (105, on the top floor) was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed — it truly felt like a home away from home. The views were incredible, and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. A special mention goes to the wonderful staff: incredibly warm, friendly, and always helpful. Their hospitality made all the difference and elevated our experience from great to unforgettable. If you're looking for a peaceful environment, large rooms with amazing views, and genuine hospitality, you must stay here. Massive thanks to the entire management team for a truly memorable vacation. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the hotel as a group of friends in a triple connecting room, room 209. As we were getting closer to the trip, I was a little bit concerned about some of the negative reviews recently left on Google reviews; given the price, I didn’t go in to expect a platinum five star hotel, and in all honesty, I set my expectations a lot lower! I needn’t have done this, we had a fantastic stay, Thursday to Sunday. The aesthetics as you approach the hotel had already started to put my mind at ease. The triple room was amazing and surpassed our expectations, three en suites, a huge balcony spanning the width too, we loved it. Clean, with everything you could need. No noise from adjoining rooms at all. We had the premium all inclusive option which meant we had access to the spa, premium drinks options and could dine one night for free at the a la carte restaurant. Would return and highly recommend!

Lovely big room, pool area clean with plenty of loungers. Dining options were a little limited, even though all inclusive there were not always everything available. The indoor spa area was a real let down. We got upgraded which was a nice touch and the staff were excellent

Would skip this resort for my next trip

The Good: 1. Clean and spacious rooms – a key reason the reviewer chose this resort. 2. Free and easy parking – readily available with no hassle. 3. Fast and easy check-in – smooth arrival process. 4. Quality toiletries – included L'Occitane en Provence products. 5. Spacious mini fridge – good for storing essentials. 6. Friendly pool bartenders – described as nice and knowledgeable. 7. Friendly entertainment staff – added to the overall positive atmosphere. The Bad: 1. Overpriced – did not meet expectations for the cost. 2. Room AC off at check-in – took 1.5 hours to cool down the room. 3. Beach towel policy changed mid-stay – limited to one towel per person from the third day onward; felt unhygienic. 4. Misleading “bottled water included” – only provided one bottle on the first day. 5. Room damage and cleanliness issues – bed and closet had visible damage; headboard was visibly dirty. 6. Exaggerated “sea view” – only a distant, partial view of the sea. 7. Poor food quality and variety – buffet was limited, unimpressive, and unclean. 8. Other local restaurants far superior – even fast food nearby was better than the hotel buffet. 9. Pest problem – flies and mosquitoes present throughout, even inside the restaurant. 10. No tissues/Kleenex in the room – had to purchase our own from local stores. 11. General disappointment – compared to experiences in Spain or Greece, this resort felt subpar and not generous or accommodating.

The food and service where acceptable but not 5* No facilities in the room, no kettle, tea, coffee, sugar or milk. No fresh water daily only on arrival. The room was very basic not even cushions on the sofa. Balcony was small with the most uncomfortable chairs ever. No wonder no one sat on the balcony’s. Loungers around the pool need to be replaced as dated, the pool wasn’t clean had green in the bottom in patches. When asking for a taxi the hotel call a transfer company, they are around 3 to 4 euros more expensive. Best get a taxi number and call yourself!

Amazing hotel. Already 2nd time staying here. Front office team is amazing. They are very welcoming, friendly, professional. Huge thank you for such efforts to accommodate us in our room earlier. Room is huge, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony, spacius,clean. Amazing service from housekeeping keeping our room clean. Loved the amenities in bathroom with branded L'Occitane products. Restaurant is great, food is super delicious, big varieties of different dishes. Loved the services at restaurant, all the staff is super attentive. 2 pools, plenty of space to stay around even if the hotel is fully booked. Good food at the snack bar by the pool. Loved the 'juice of the day', of course cocktails. Spa is good, worth to visit. Overall our stay was amazing, coming vack next year.

The hotel looks lovely online and for some this may be an exceptional option but for us, it was an unfortunate mistake. Upon arrival, the room had no power and maintenance needed to troubleshoot the issue. The pool was exceptionally cold. The hotel is lacking of signage to help find the way around. The beach is a hike and not as close as advertised. The beach is mostly seaweed with very little useable area. All inclusive means all things are included except what they exclude such as the sit down restaurant, drinks that aren’t in there all inclusive list, the golf simulator is 40 euro extra per person. The bar has no frozen drinks. No washcloths available for showering (which is common in some EU countries). The hotel is quite dated. The elevators many times were not working and when they were the buttons take a lot of force to engage. It’s very noisy on the 1st floor above the restaurant until at least 11pm as they cleanup and slide chairs across the floor. No eating food around the pool. As I say, this may be perfectly fine for some but comparing to many hotels we have visited, this is not for us and we can’t recommend.

Great stay, would say it’s a 4 star over a 5 star. There was a few attention to detail that were overlooked. Toilet by the pool messy and out of toilet roll, not checked regularly enough. Decking area in the pool bar needed jet washing. Some of the sun loungers needed an upgrade due to being stretched. It’s the little details that make Hotels 5 star. This was lacking a few of them. However overall a great Hotel, good location. Staff very good and all really friendly. Would have been nice to have been able to dine in both restaurants on the all inclusive even if you only offered one night in the Tapas restaurant so you could try it. Rooms are ready for an upgrade but entrance area and restaurant are lovely. Worth a visit!
