"I would never have believed that an upscale hotel so elegant could coexist so harmoniously with the wild jungle. This place exceeded my most lofty expectations. The property is so remote, and the structures and amenities so dispersed about the property, that you truly feel as if you're in a jungle village rather than a resort. The food is wonderful and accommodating to all palates. The staff are genuinely pleasant and happy. Each of the manmade structures such as the pool, spa, bar/restaurant/lobby, and individual guest dwellings are unobtrusive to the jungle around them, peacefully intermingling. It's almost as if this place has been there so long that the jungle bloomed around it. I honestly felt at times as if I was living in a fantasy, a science fiction novel turned reality. There truly are no words that can justifiably honor this place, but it was perfect. THANK YOU to the staff, and to the visionaries who conceived of and built this place. I did a substantial amount of research on dozens of lodging options across hundred of square miles hoping to find the ideal place...and I did. This is no ordinary resort. It is special beyond imagination."

"We ended up staying here for a total of almost 2 weeks. We would stay here and then check out to go do treks in the jungle, but then always return to this hotel. The property is beautiful, kept in perfect condition. Everything is very clean, there is always hot water. They have a free baggage storage service, that's nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful. The kitchen is well stocked, lots of pots and pans, dishes etc. There's a nice outside area where you can sit and enjoy a view of the city. Because we kept checking in and leaving and coming back, we got to stay in a total of three rooms, all the rooms that we have seen were really nice. All of them are out of direct sunlight. All the rooms are very spacious. One nice thing is that they ask that you keep your shoes just outside the main entrance, but you can walk around in sandals. This is part of why the floors and everything else are so clean and beautiful. And it also establishes that you can trust the place, your stuff is safe sitting out by the door. The hostel is maybe 15 minutes walk away from the main part of the city, it's just removed enough so that you don't have the noises of the city around you and it's peaceful. It has a really great view over the city, there are some little shops and restaurants just a couple minutes walk away. We really enjoyed our stay here and if we come back, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. "
